Description
The Watchman Spire, in Zion National Park, Utah, is an imposing sandstone formation that stands at 6,555 feet, with a trail leading to an overlook at the base that stands over the entire lower Zion Canyon. The Virgin River helps to lead your eye into the image and toward the The Watchman Spire. If you look closely you can see first light of sunrise on the tips of 3 peaks.

Thank you Michael. Marvelous location. I could return to Zion and Bryce over and over and never get bored.

George, Excellent capture of the Watchman! I have been to Zion more than any other national park. It is a challenge to photograph and to paint! Jerry

It does not get better than this! Beautiful subject, artfully framed, lovely lighting... I love how you've set the shadows in the mountains to echo the blues in the water

George, this is a beautiful capture of the Watchman Spire and a fast-moving stream! I love how clear the detail is on the foreground, as well as the background! I also really like how you can see, if you look closely, the first light on three peaks, as mentioned in your description! This is so serene and peaceful--I love it! Fave! L/F!
