Description
A lonely tree clings to life as the sun heralds a new day in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. This lone tree at Sunrise Point is also known as the Walking Tree. The soil beneath its roots have long since eroded away in this harsh environment giving the appearance that the tree has grown legs.
One can't help but sit and imagine the Walking Tree actually strolling over to visit the ancient Indian spirits in the surrounding hoodoos of Bryce Canyon.

I just cannot pass by a photo of a solitary tree...to me, they represent strength, hope and endurance against all odds. This is simply stunning. So simple, so arresting. Will promote this on my FB fan page.

My sister pinned this image and added a fitting verse "They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. "(Jeremiah 17:8 NLT)
