In the San Juan Mountains above Telluride, Colorado one can find all of the usual sights and hiking trails expected of any mountain adventure. What a surprise to meander across this serene slice of paradise. The snow melt had carved its way through this small canyon leaving a picturesque scene not really expected on a mountain hike. This location is very difficult to find and you must be willing to get a little muddy and a little wet as the path to this paradise included a few cold water crossings. We had the place all to ourselves with the only noise being our conversations and the sound of the water rushing down the small falls you see in the back of this image.
