Sunset at the Mittens, Monument Valley, Utah reveals a unique opportunity to view the shadow of the West Mitten cast upon the East Mitten. I happened to be there at the right time of year and just waited for the shadow of the West Mitten as it slowly crept onto the East Mitten.
About George Buxbaum
My heart and passion is landscape, nature, travel, and urban photography but I am most at peace out in the field with a camera enjoying mother nature and capturing the beauty of the world around me. Beautiful and striking scene, George, that you have captured! This shadow of the West Mitten that is cast onto the East just at the right time, reminds me of how the magic of the light and shadows interplay with the great monolithic stones at Stonehenge! The legend is that maybe giants helped to erect them, or even the great magician Merlin had something to do with it! Either way, these amazing geographic locations evoke a sense of the sacred and exude an air of mysticism and magic that is very memorable! V/F
