Desert, sand, and snow in the same scene? Looking west while standing on the dunes in Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley National Park, California in late December rewarded me with an unexpected trio - desert, sand, and snow - in the same image. Pictured here is the Panamint Range which forms the western wall of Death Valley National Park.
My heart and passion is landscape, nature, travel, and urban photography but I am most at peace out in the field with a camera enjoying mother nature and capturing the beauty of the world around me. Come join my adventure as I share my view of the world one image at a time. Please take a few minutes to browse my portfolio and be sure to read the description for the images that grab your attention. In many of my descriptions, I attempt to bring you into the scene from my eyes as I contemplated what to include in the image. Maybe this will help you to connect with my vision of the scene and why I was moved to capture that particular moment in time. I shoot mainly for color images and most of my portfolio is comprised of color images...

How is this real? Somehow, George, you have the gift of finding these places and capturing them at just the right time of day with just the perfect skies, from the perfect POV! I am in awe. . . . vf
George Buxbaum replied:
Thank you Karen! Your comments are so sweet and always welcomed.
