The Alien Eggs formation (aka Cracked Eggs) at Bisti Badlands outside Farmington, New Mexico transport all who visit into an alien-like landscape. The Bisti Badlands comprise 45,000 acres filled with crazy rock formations that resemble everything from spacecraft to sharks to manta rays to alien eggs. As this is a true wilderness area, there are no trails and no vehicles are allowed either. The only way to see it is to walk on in and start exploring.
We hiked out in the dark with headlamps and GPS to trek to the Alien Eggs in time for sunrise. Our efforts were rewarded with beautiful lights over this alien landscape.
My heart and passion is landscape, nature, travel, and urban photography but I am most at peace out in the field with a camera enjoying mother nature and capturing the beauty of the world around me. Come join my adventure as I share my view of the world one image at a time. Please take a few minutes to browse my portfolio and be sure to read the description for the images that grab your attention. In many of my descriptions, I attempt to bring you into the scene from my eyes as I contemplated what to include in the image. Maybe this will help you to connect with my vision of the scene and why I was moved to capture that particular moment in time. I shoot mainly for color images and most of my portfolio is comprised of color images...
