Description
Words of Light. The Balanced Rock formation can be found at the end of a 7 mile dirt road to Grapevine Hills in Big Bend National Park, Texas. A fairly short 2.2 miles round-trip hike brings you to the base of Balanced Rock. Here, the rock formation is illuminated by a brilliant sunrise. It was very much worth the effort to witness a glorious sunrise and watch the light on the formation change as the sun rose higher in the sky.
Every sunrise is a poem written on the earth with words of light, warmth, and love.
