The fireplace stands as the lone sentinel from a once thriving Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp in Palo Duro Canyon State Park just outside of Canyon, Texas. This starry night had the North Star (Polaris) directly behind the fireplace as well as a bright moon rise in the East which kissed the fireplace and surrounding area with soft glowing light. Pointing directly North allowed me to be able to capture tight concentric circles with the movement of the resulting star trails.
