Description
How do you know it is spring time in Texas? Texas bluebonnets announce the arrival of spring with vibrant blues covering Texas highways and fields. I had to search a bit to find one lonely bloom with no other blooms in the background. The shape of the petals of the flower resembles the bonnet worn by pioneer women to shield them from the sun.

Wonderful blue bonnet image George! The blue is so rich! Can't wait until the end of March, heading down to Ennis for the blue bonnets! L/F

The blue and green is so vivid, very nice! Exquisite shot!

Thanks Chad. This was one of those few times that I went out looking for a specific shot and actually captured what I envisioned in my mind.
