Description
I made this image with the intent of showing the rugged beauty of Badlands National Park in South Dakota. This was in the Stonghold Unit at Badlands Overlook a couple hundred yards into the wilderness. The dramatic landscapes span layered rock formations, steep canyons and towering spires, with several locations in the park bordered by lush green pastures. The golden light of sunrise illuminates the landscape with soft, colorful light revealing the rugged wilderness.
