Description
McWay Falls is an 80-foot waterfall located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park on the coast of California that flows year-round. This waterfall is one of only two in the region that are close enough to the ocean to be referred to as "tidefalls". It is located on McWay Creek and is one of the few waterfalls that empty directly into the Pacific Ocean.
I kept coming back to this image over the years, feeling like I had missed something, that something else was hidden in this image. As I was reviewing some of my older images, I wondered how this particular image would look processed as black and white or monochrome. This is the resulting image and I feel like I have found what was missing in this image. While I really like the color version of this image, I am very satisfied that I have uncovered my true vision for image.
