Description
“The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone.” —Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
I recently spent a week, with my son, exploring and photographing in the Bisti Wilderness near Farmington, New Mexico. It was a lonely environment filled with hoodoos, sandstone formations, and petrified wood but it was soul cleansing at the same time. We were alone in the Bisti Wilderness the majority of the time and were able to fully explore the area. Time and natural elements have etched a fantasy world of strange rock formations.
For this image, we were standing on top of a huge accumulation of tabletop hoodoos looking across this vast expanse of the Bisti Wilderness. In my mind, this image provides a wider viewpoint than some of my other Bisti Wilderness images - sort of an environmental portrait.
