Description
Ernst Tinaja at Big Bend National Park in Texas. A tinaja is a depression carved into bedrock by waterfalls or are caused by sand and gravel scouring in intermittent streams (arroyos). The pools formed in the river bed are a vital source of hydration throughout the dry desert months. The Ernst Tinaja is surrounded by beautiful limestone rock making this an even more striking location.
