Desert Drama was captured while hiking the Gould Mine Trail in Saquaro National Park in Tucson, Arizona. This is the Western Park - Tuscon Mountain District. The title for this image was obvious to me with all of the drama and tension between the 3 main elements of this image - the sky, the Saguaros, and the rock wall of the canyon . The Gould Mine Trail runs along the dry wash (stream bed) of the ravine below the Gould Mine. The trail meanders through groups of saguaro cactus, mesquite and ironwood trees, rounds the edge of a ridge and crosses Kings Canyon.
