Description
The Sandy Creek Bridge is a unique covered bridge located near the town of Remote, Oregon in Coos County on the Middle Fork of the Coquille River. I converted this to black and white to more accurately capture the emotion invoked as I stood on site enjoying this view of history. This interesting little bridge spans 60 feet across Sandy Creek. It was built with large framed windows on either side to maximizing the illumination of the bridge interior. The bridge is strengthened by two crossed Howe truss members on each chord, a rarity in short covered bridges.
