Description
Aguereberry Point Sunset. Aquereberry Point is probably my 2nd favorite spot in Death Valley National Park in California in regards to the quality of the scenic views. It's a toss up between Aguereberry Point and Dante's View. Both offer spectacular vistas with views of the Panamint Mountains, the white salt flats of Badwater Basin, and the green oasis of Furnace Creek. At an elevation of 6,433 you are high enough to see for miles on a clear evening.
This particular evening we arrived on Aguereberry Point early and had lots of time to take in the sights and sounds of our semi-private viewing area for what would pan out to be a gorgeous sunset. As the light changed from daylight to dusk so did the personality of Aguereberry Point up to and including this explosion of color as the day was giving up it's last blast of color.
